By accessing and using FileTools.eu ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

FileTools.eu provides free, browser-based file conversion and processing tools. Our tools allow users to convert, compress, and edit image and PDF files entirely within their web browser. No files are uploaded to our servers.

Current tools include:

• Image format conversions (HEIC, JPG, PNG, WebP)
• Image compression and resizing
• PDF compression and merging
• PDF to image conversion
• Background removal
• AI-powered image uncropping

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use FileTools.eu only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Service to:

• Process files containing illegal content
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use automated tools to excessively load or scrape the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others

4. Intellectual Property

The content, design, and code of FileTools.eu are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

Your files remain your property at all times. We make no claim to any files you process through our tools.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

FileTools.eu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The results of using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors or defects will be corrected

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FileTools.eu and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed €10 (ten euros).

Your use of FileTools.eu is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
